Arnold is getting big. Yesterday he spent the day on the barn. He met the other animals.
He had fun.
Baby cow is growing too. She has been eating grain and hay. She is still so cute. All others are doing great.

We are sadddddd……..

T e ( picasso’s delight) had to leave. He was just not what we were looking for. He was a great horse and sweet and pretty but he just did not have the movement and experience we needed. So we are currenty looking for another show horse but not in any big hurry. Justice left too. He had a great experience and learned alot. I hope someone can continue is training and hope to see him soon riding the trails.
Enjoy (baby cow) is growing and eating everything not nailed down.LOL.
We are off to go pick up 50 bales of hay. And it is COLD!!!!! Guess I will have to bundle up, get my blizzard gear out. See ya soon.

Shhh and listen

Just look in to eyes of a horse. Even a dirty one. Lol . SHHH and listen. You might learn something.

Name change.

FREE SPIRIT FARM is getting a new name change.  It is Second chance stables. We are getting a new look this spring and summer. We will keep u informed of the changes. And for the animals all is good and nothing new and nothing old.

How can?

I never could understand how someone could own a horse or more then one and never go out and see it. How do they bored and horse and not go to the barn and brush it or feed it treats. Why do people rely on the barn owner to do there job. I will never understand WHY? Is that a form of neglect on the horse’s owner part. If a barn owner/manger has many horse to look after they might miss something. A cut, a sore hoof, not eating well, or just anything. These people should pay more attention to there horses or just not own them. And then they want to know why their horse has behavior issues. Well Duh!

Update

Ebony ( baby cow) bad a tummy ache yesterday and would not play or anything. Gave her water and rest.  This morning I went out to barn she greeted me with moooooos and jumped up very eager to eat her bottle. She got onto tack room and was nibbling on grain. So I would say she feels better. Due to freezing rain everyone is in so she should get rest with all the horses looking over her today. I will go out in few hours to give them more hay and water and check on ebony again. Dont want to stress her more but her butt is nasty and will need to be cleaned later also. So I will keep all update on this situation.
Cameo and Dasiy have settle in real nice here. I worked on ground manners and they seemed to understand the rules of the farm ( I am the boss ) and justice is still doing good and Jillian has taken role of baby cow’s nanny. Oh donkey (snickers) and barn pig (porkchop) don’t really like the baby cow(ebony) they sleep in the pig pen not barn anymore. Lol.
Arnold is growing fat and round. He still has the itches and has learned to deal with a bath now. He needs to be fixed soon for he thinks he needs to mate with me. ANNOYING. LOL
